EQ stand for Emotional Quotient.
Based on 19 years of research by Dr.Reuven BarOn and tested on over 48,000 individuals worldwide, the BarOn Emotional Quotient Inventory is designed to measure a number of constructs related to emotional intelligence. A growing body of research suggests that emotional intelligence is a better predictor of "success" than the more traditional measures of cognitive intelligence (IQ).
What the Baron EQ-I Measures
The BarOn EQ-I consists of 133 items and takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. It gives an overall EQ score as well as scores for the following 5 composite scales and 15 susbscales.
